Challenge

Responsible Gaming Policy

Last updated: February 20, 2026

Challenge is committed to providing a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all players. We believe that skill-based gaming should be a fun form of entertainment, and we take proactive steps to promote responsible play.

1. Our Commitment

Challenge promotes responsible, fair play for all users. We provide tools and resources to help you stay in control of your gaming activity. If gaming ever stops being fun, we encourage you to take a break and use the tools described below.

Our responsible gaming program includes:

  • Self-exclusion options at multiple durations
  • Customizable deposit limits
  • Cool-down periods
  • Access to problem gaming resources
  • Trained support staff to assist with responsible gaming concerns

2. Skill-Based Gaming

Challenge is a skill-based competition platform. Third-party game developers embed Challenge into their web games to enable real-money competition. The outcome of every match is determined predominantly by the relative skill of the participants — not by chance or luck. Games listed on Challenge are reviewed to ensure that strategy, reaction time, accuracy, and decision-making are the dominant factors in determining who wins.

While skill is the primary factor, we recognize that any activity involving money deserves careful and responsible engagement. The tools below are available to all players regardless of the skill-based nature of the platform.

3. Self-Exclusion

If you need a break from the Platform, you can self-exclude for a set period. During a self-exclusion period:

  • Deposits are blocked — You cannot add funds to your account
  • Match entry is blocked — You cannot enter any matches
  • Withdrawals are still allowed — You can withdraw your existing balance at any time

Available Self-Exclusion Periods

  • 1 day
  • 3 days
  • 7 days
  • 14 days
  • 30 days
  • 6 months
  • 1 year
  • Permanent (requires contacting support to reverse)

Self-exclusion takes effect immediately. Short-term exclusions (1 day to 1 year) expire automatically. Permanent self-exclusion can only be reversed by contacting our support team.

To self-exclude, go to Settings in your account dashboard or contact support@withchallenge.com.

4. Deposit Limits

You can set limits on how much you deposit into your Challenge account. Available limit periods:

  • Daily limit — Maximum amount you can deposit in a 24-hour period
  • Weekly limit — Maximum amount you can deposit in a 7-day period
  • Monthly limit — Maximum amount you can deposit in a 30-day period

How Limit Changes Work

  • Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately
  • Increasing a limit requires a mandatory 24-hour waiting period before the new higher limit takes effect

This waiting period is designed to prevent impulsive decisions. To set or change your deposit limits, go to Settings in your account dashboard.

5. Taking a Break

If you need a short break, use any of the shorter self-exclusion periods (1 day to 30 days). They take effect immediately, expire automatically, and block deposits and match entry while still allowing withdrawals. No need to contact support — just go to Settings.

6. Warning Signs of Problem Gaming

If you recognize any of the following behaviors in yourself, it may be time to take a break or seek help:

  • Spending more money than you can afford to lose
  • Chasing losses — continuing to play to try to win back money you've lost
  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gaming
  • Neglecting responsibilities (work, school, relationships) due to gaming
  • Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when not playing
  • Lying to friends or family about the amount of time or money spent gaming
  • Gaming as a way to escape problems or relieve negative emotions
  • Being unable to reduce or stop gaming despite wanting to

If any of these apply to you, please use our self-exclusion tools or contact the resources listed below.

7. Resources & Helplines

If you or someone you know is struggling with problem gaming, help is available:

These resources are free, confidential, and available 24/7. You do not need to be in crisis to reach out — they can help at any stage.

8. Age Verification

Challenge requires all players to be at least 18 years old. We use Veriff, a third-party identity verification service, to confirm the age and identity of all players before they can withdraw funds.

If we discover that an underage individual has created an account, we will immediately suspend the account, void any pending matches, and return all deposited funds to the original payment method.

9. Fair Play

Responsible gaming also means fair gaming. Challenge employs multiple measures to ensure a fair competitive environment:

  • Anti-cheat systems — Automated detection of bots, exploits, and unauthorized software
  • Fraud detection — Monitoring for multi-accounting, collusion, and suspicious activity patterns
  • Skill-based matchmaking — Pairing players of similar ability levels when possible
  • Game review — All games on the Platform are reviewed to ensure outcomes are determined predominantly by skill

For more details on prohibited conduct, see our Terms of Service.
